Canon and Nikon force Red to realign new camera/videocamera plans
NAB 2008 back in April has been a great event for RED, with the announcement of the Scarlet and Epic models creating a lot of anticipation. A few months on, Jim Jannard’s (CEO of Red) plans for a DSLR or videocamera/DSLR (or whatever it is eventually going to be) have gone on a rethinking phase.

Last weekend I went to the cinema. The actually movie I enjoyed, the picture quality I didn’t. Despite film being superior to 2K projectors and still challenging 4K projectors, I think in many cases this quality potential is repeatedly ruined by operator behaviour and the quality of the film itself.
