Sony A350 review by dpreview gives mixed results

The Sony A350 has been reviewed before but the review of dpreview is certainly stricter than most and shows the two-sided personality of the 14Mp body.

Build quality is very good and the feel of Liveview is excellent, the friendliest possible for those that have only used compacts before.

Where the A350 seems to fail to impress is those features that DSLR users crave for. The viewfinder is very small -and annoying- while responses are not as fast as expected. In fact, the later is one of the reasons a photographer moves to a DSLR, so Sony has a really serious issue there…. In addition, picture quality at high ISO is noisy and noise reduction can be quite obtrusive.

Once again, a review of the A350 gives mixed results, with the disturbing finding that the performance features sought by advanced photographers are not as impressive as technical characteristics suggest. Let’s hope that that Sony listens and rectifies those shortcomings for a future release.
