Olympus E-420 portable & great value for money: review by LetsGoDigital

The new E-420 baby DSLR from Olympus is the world’s smallest one -by a tiny margin- but that’s of course not all. If size is the main deciding factor compacts are preferable, but for DSLRs we are talking performance before anything else, right?

LetsGoDigital reviews the E-420 and results are pretty impressive. The review even describes performance to be almost as good as that of the E-3, a very heavy statement since we talk about bodies many categories apart in terms of price, size and target group.

The only complaints have been about a slightly limited dynamic range and more than expected noise at high ISO. Otherwise, we are talking about a great walk-around, hike-everywhere, do-what-you-want camera that will please those of us that want to snap photos with a DSLR without worrying about size, weight and performance limitations.
