RFID chips and hammers are perfect match

Maybe you do not mind RFID passport controls, after all if security wants to know something they will definitely ask. But I am sure you do mind if you are in constant danger of having your RFID data stolen by anyone that has the not-so-difficult-to-get know-how. So what do you do? But of course kill the RFID chip without leaving a trace of your deeds!

There is a number of ways to kill an RFID chip’s functionality. For 100% results you can melt it in the microwave but you are running a fire risk which can leave traces on the paper. Similarly if you pierce with a knife or cut the antenna. So what remains?

Banging the hell out of it! A few hits will do the job fine and will leave no trace at all. To be honest, by the way things are going, RFID will become so intrusive that we will need to carry a hammer with us on a permanent basis…
