Copulare iCoral is expensive iPod Dock
There is iPod and iPhone accessories everywhere we care to look. Do we need more? This post is evidence that we have reached that all critical point where going much further is overkill. Copulare is an audio rack manufacturer that has probably seen an opportunity to ride the wave of Apple’s mobile product success.
The price is -better sit down- €1500 and you get -wow!- analogue outputs, S-video -who remembers this any more?- and a USB connection. You can also chose between white and black finish!
As for the styling, you can judge by yourself, personally it reminds me of a pyramid with all but its base not chopped off. And the patterns do not do much for the price level of a high-end audio product.
Given that I have complained about the $349 for the Wadia iTransport, in the end I really think it is a bargain! But you know, there is lots of good iPod docks out there, many products support direct iPod connectivity, and after all if you want high-end audio an iPod is not your most sensible option…
