Euroshop 2008, 23-27 February, Dusseldorf, Germany - Photo report- Part 2
In this second part of ElectronRun’s Euroshop 2008 photo report we continue with more eye feasting…
Throughout the show, in virtually all halls, I could not believe how many screens were everywhere! Since flat screens became commonplace, designers use them in mass, in very creative ways. The idea here is not to show off resolution, black levels, contrast levels or size, but to instead integrate the opportunities that moving pictures offer for a stand and as a consequence a modern shop. In a way, part 2 on Euroshop 2008 could be called mini screen-fest :-)
Revolving frames combined with revolving patterns to create an even more dizzying effect:

High quality perspex. I do not know why but I find it quite electric and it also reminds me of transformers…

This is a shopfitting company. Some computers made available with design software for customer area design and guess what was the most interesting part of the stand! Products, no matter how well they are designed and made, have to be combined in attractive packages and used creatively…

Even the most simple stands had a few screens. Its not only YouTube that plays video these days baby, now video is everywhere:

Some stands were complete bars and cafeterias. Great environment, no smoking, free drinks, lots and lots of screens… What else do you need? Oh yes, earplugs to easily ignore the salesman…

This stand belongs to a design agency and the printouts of shop proposals looked brilliant, like well designed comic book pages! Nice wood feel and again lots of computers made available for demos and design trials:

You think ovens would stay behind?

Some years ago we would almost die for a screen of such beauty and quality of graphics:

In parts 3 and 4 there will be more emphasis on lighting with more photos!
